One extended cruise through Australia was terminated days after the death of an older lady who was left behind by the cruise liner on a remote coastal location.

The elderly woman had been hiking on Lizard Island with other travelers from the cruise ship, but broke off from the party for a break. The ship sailed away leaving her and went back after some time after the personnel realised the passenger was not present.

A major rescue mission discovered her person the subsequent day.
